Summer In Birmingham

Summer in Birmingham

The first thing that I did this summer was buy Dad a tie for Father’s Day.

I picked it out all by myself.

You can’t really see it well, but Dad loves his purple Larry-Boy tie.

Summertime brings some hot weather to Birmingham.

This is a good book, even though the plot's a little weak.

Sometimes you just want to stay inside and read.

But most of the time it’s great to be outside…

This one looks like Bob.

…even if Dad makes you do the gardening.

They just don't make'em like this anymore...

Checking out my new bed.

This year we spent the Fourth of July at a picnic at Tannehill.

It's hot. Let's go cool off.

We saw all the old buildings…

It's okay, Dad. I won't let you fall out.

…and of course, we had to ride the train.

It was hot, so we looked for some ways to cool down.

Tell me again - What you do with these?

Water balloons always do the trick!!

It doesn't feel that cool to me.

Dad said that wading in the creek felt good…

Ahh... That's better.

…so I gave it a try with Mom.

The summertime is a lot of fun…

I fell asleep before I could get both shoes off.

…but sometime it just wears you out.

Summer Stuff

Summer Stuff

The days are getting longer, and the weather’s getting hotter.

Yep, the Summertime is here!

Whoa... Nice tie, Dad!

June brings Father’s Day.  I spent it at home with Dad…

You be the helicopter, and I'll be the airplane.

…in Tuscaloosa with my Paw-Paw Jack…

Aren't you proud of me?

…and then showing Da how I’d learned how to walk.

Since the weather’s nice outside, I’ve been outside more.

Strike 52.

Baseball takes a lot of practice…

Hey, Brandon... Come play outfield!

…but it pays off in the end.

I think the green ones will be the tastiest.

Our tomatoes are also getting ready to eat.

I went to a picnic on the Fourth of July.

Is it time to eat yet?

It was hot, even in the shade.

Are we there yet?

The train ride didn’t really cool me down.

I just don't see the big deal.

Mom said this was cold.  I didn’t really think so.

How can I read my book while I'm holding the reins?

Maybe I should become a cowboy instead of a Baseball star.
