Error Page - I wouldn’t call it the funniest one I’ve ever seen, but it’s definitely in the top two. Thanks, Mondragon clan.

Today is our Tenth Anniversary. So what’s the best way to start out the day?
I can assure you that it’s not being waken up at 5AM by your two year-old, crying and shouting ‘My Nose! My Nose!’ at the top of his lungs. And it does not get any better when you go to check on him, only to see him holding something from his nose, out for you to inspect… “Look, Daddy!”
Happy Anniversary, Sweetie.

This-Or-That Tuesday time again…
1. Surf sites at random, or have a set list of regular reads? Regular reads… I’ve listed some here in the past, and I probably need to list more.
2. Do you visit mostly blogs, or news or other sites? It’s pretty much a mix… Deal Sites, News, Finance, Work-Related, etc…
3. Do you go online every day, or just a couple of days a week? Daily
4. Do you allow comments on your blog, or not? Yes, although they are rarely used… ![]()
5. Do you shop online at all, or at regular stores? Both… Online shopping isn’t as good as it used to be (deal-wise), but it’s still pretty convenient.
6. Have you ever done online bill-paying/banking, or not? Yep. It rocks.
7. Which news site do you prefer… MSNBC.com or CNN.com? Or do you prefer some other one? I really don’t visit either one.
8. Live chat rooms, or message boards? Message Boards. I particularly like the weather discussion at TalkWeather.com.
9. Instant messaging or e-mail? It really depends, but usually we use E-mail.
10. Yes or no: have you ever met, or at least talked on the phone with, another blogger? If not, would you want to? Why or why not? Yes, but only because they are people that I used to work with.

Let me preface this by saying: I hate picnics. I don’t know why, but if I’m going to eat, I would rather do it indoors, where I don’t have to worry about bugs dive-bombing me, the wind carrying away my plate, ants trying to get into my drink, and the heat. Give me the indoors, any day of the week.
Our Sunday School class had a picnic last week. I was really dreading going to it, for the reasons mentioned above. But I have to confess: I had an absolutely wonderful time. It was probably the first picnic that I’ve enjoyed in a long time. It was an absolutely gorgeous day… Not too hot, no bugs to speak of, and great food.
The picnic was at a local park, and the kids had a great playground to entertain themselves on. I thought you might enjoy a few of the pictures taken while we were playing Baseball:

I’m still disappointed that I never won a James Spann bobble-head. But after what happened at Church yesterday, I feel a little bit better.
Yesterday was my day to drive our shuttle carts. I’m picking up a load of people, and who winds up sitting beside me, but James himself. Someone else is talking about what a beautiful day it is, and complimenting James on ‘his good job’. (I wonder if James ever gets really, really, really tired of people talking to him about the weather. I think that it must get old).
Anyways, I see my opportunity, and compliment that only 1 thing would make this day better. He asks what. I flash my cheesiest grin and say, ‘A bobble-head’. He smirked and shook his head. I asked him if they had any idea how big it would become. James said no, and that he just didn’t understand it. He also said that he himself was trying to call in and win some for his relatives.
If James himself wasn’t able to score some extras, I feel a little better that I don’t have one. But I’m still trying to think of a way to get my Dad’s, when he’s not looking. ![]()

NBC-13 Vulcan-Cam - Finally, after Vulcan goes back up, I found a link to a live camera. This link takes you to the main NBC-13 web page. The Vulcan-Cam is on the right, about halfway down the page. It’s some neat JavaScript that refreshes automatically for you.
Or, if you’re too lazy to look for it, just click here.

Birmingham, AL - International Space Station Sighting Information - Apparently I missed an opportunity to see the ISS last week. This NASA utility will allow you to calculate when you will be able to view the ISS in your area, or one of over 300 additional satellites, if you so desire.

Allow me to point something out, to any and all I.T. personnel who might read this.
In the software development field, there are 2 different kinds of people: Developers and Duh-velopers. May I suggest that if you are a computer programmer, and did not know that there is a distinction, that you are notin the former category.
(Taken from many discussions on Jared Still’s fine Oracle-L mailing list, and reinforced to me today)
