Amusing

I found this saying pretty humorous, especially after my experiences with Jerry in the garage:
The early bird may get the worm, but it’s the second mouse that gets the cheese.

Maybe it’s just me, but doesn’t it seem to make sense that the State would send you a reminder of an expired license *before* it actually expires?
Now I have to go and stand in line tomorrow.

You’d think that I would have figured something like this out by now…
Never, ever, teach your kids to say phrases that you think are funny.
They will say it at the most inopportune time possible.

The Lemonade Game - When I was finishing up my College degree, there was 1 course that all C&BA students had to take: GBA-490. It was a class where you were part of the management team of a shoe company. You had to try and predict demand, and adjust your business plan accordingly.
Just think… I could have just played this game instead.
Oh, and as a certain Monroeville friend is quick to point out… No one has ever, ever, ever asked us where our company finished.

This morning, on the way to work, listening to the two sexiest fat men alive, the topic was the theater. It started out with Bubba performing his own version of Shakespeare’s The Tempest (also known as Good Ol’ Boy Theater), and wound up with Rick discussing his son’s performance in a local presentation of School House Rock.
When I heard that, my ears perked up. I absolutely loved those songs as a kid, and both Brandon and Caleb love them as well. So I talked to Amanda about it, and after she did some investigation, we decided to take the boys tonight.
It turned out to be a closed presentation by one of the local church’s children’s drama ministry at our local library. The Hoover library theater seats about 250 people, and we got there about 25 minutes before the show started. Before the show started, they had to ask people to move out of the aisles, out of fear the Fire Marshall would shut them down.
It was fantastic. These kids had only been rehearsing for 7 days, but put on a great performance. Brandon and Caleb absolutely loved all of the singing and dancing. They knew most of the songs from our DVD, and were singing along. The performance included Conjunction Junction, I’m just a Bill, Three is a Magic Number, Five, and, our personal favorite, Interjections.
Well done, NarrowWay Productions. Thanks for giving us a night to remember.

Today is my Grandmother McGraw’s Birthday.
I would disclose her age here, but have I ever mentioned that I am really, really bad at keeping track of people’s age? I seriously doubt that, if asked, I could tell you anyone’s correct age, outside of the 3 people that I live with. ![]()

Have I mentioned that my lovely bride is off at a recording studio tongiht? She’s laying down tracks for her debut album, due out this Fall.
(Okay, it’s for a CD that our Church Choir and Orchestra will be coming out with this Fall, but it’s still really cool to me. It’s more than I’ve ever done, for sure.)

Comcast Cable of Tuscaloosa - Sucks! - This caught my eye because we used to be Comcast customers when we lived in Tuscaloosa.
Unfortunately, even after reading all of the articles, Comcast is still a better cable company than our current provider.
