I found this photograph in a box of old… stuff… in the crawlspace. It’s a picture of a Birthday Party from somewhere back in the Seventies. I can’t remember how old I was, but I can remember all but one of the kids in the photo. In fact, if you click on the photo, you’ll go to a flickr page where you can look at my notes.

Mom, if you’re reading this, do you know how old I was, and who that kid sitting next to Wayne Williams is?

It may be difficult to make out, but this is a picture of the swarm of ladybugs currently hovering over my desk at work.

This morning, on the way to work, I saw a camoflauged car. In case you’re not familiar with the concept, before a new car model is released, automakers mask over a car’s edges and other distinctive features with tape so that people cannot tell what a car is (supposedly). I’m sure it also has to do with a certain type of corporate espionage and other things.

Anyways, since we live about 20 minutes from the Mercedes-Benz plant that produces M-Class vehicles, and it has a very distinctive style, I think it was easy to say it was the new M-Class. Unfortunately, it was dark, and I wasn’t quick enough with my camera phone. Otherwise, I’d have posted a picture.

As you probably noticed, I used the Flickr upload feature in conjunction with a camera phone to blog a little bit over the holiday weekend. We spent the time in Tuscaloosa, visiting Amanda’s mom, and with my folks as well.

Alabama’s been under flash flood warnings and tornado watches for most of the time today. I was scheduled to work at the National Weather Service office again, starting at 10:00 last night. However, the NWS decided not to staff the office until about 4:00 am. So my shift got cancelled, and I went and got some sleep.
