This story is a tragedy.
But Mark A. Wilson, you’re a hero.

Today, I recorded Tom and Jerry on my Tivo.
I told my Tivo that it needed to record that program, via the web, from work. That is cool.
No more “…But I forgot to set the VCR…” excuses.

30 years ago today, my family was caught in a tornado.

It was a little too chilly outside today, so I joined running buddy Kevin on the Treadmill today.
I did much better than Monday. 28 minutes running, nonstop. I covered over 2.6 miles.
Maybe that March 5th date is attainable after all…

It’s been a while since I’ve updated the Running section…
We completed the first day of our seventh week. It’s a 25-minute run. It’s also a repeat of what I did this weekend. It wasn’t too bad, but I got a cramp in my right thigh just after 1.2 miles. It was bad enough that I briefly slowed down to a walking pace about 3 times.
I’m the first to admit that I’m behind where I wanted to be at this point in the schedule. But it’s also exciting when I think back to how a 25 minute run would have been in January.
March 5 is just around the corner…

The story: Brandon lost his second tooth while he was asleep Saturday night. I didn’t notice it until we got back from Church and lunch on Sunday. Luckily, we found his tooth in his bed, and were able to place it under the pillow that night.
The rest of the story: Brandon lost his tooth somewhere between Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. I was tying his shoe when I noticed it was missing on Sunday afternoon. I asked him what had happened, thinking that he had pulled it that morning at Church, and forgotten to tell me about it. He put his finger in his mouth to try and wiggle it, and the look on his face was one of complete despair. I do not recall ever seeing such disappointment on his face.
Now I don’t know if that look was because he didn’t pull it out himself, or because he realized that he wouldn’t have anything to put under the pillow that night. So, Dad starts to think of a plan. I went and retrieved the first tooth he lost (See? There is a reason that parents hold on to stuff like that!!) and suggested that we look in his bed. Sure enough, we found the “second” tooth, and put it under the pillow that night.
So what really happened to the second tooth? We don’t know. I have a strong suspicion that it came out while we were eating lunch, and he swallowed it.
We kept the first tooth that he lost - I’m not planning on keeping the second one.

Brandon’s been running a fever since Monday. Please say a prayer for him.

Note: I do not post work-related items here, because of the “Golden Rule”. This is just a bit of wisdom that I thought of this morning, and is not related to anything going on at work.
