Merry Christmas

One of the things that slipped through the cracks this year, with the move, was sending out Christmas cards. So, I’m posting ours online.

8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

Link-O-The-Day

Dedicated to the memory of last night’s annual viewing of National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation in Ed’s Boom-Boom Room:

Pimp My Nutcracker.

And here’s a little fact for those of you who weren’t able to attend last night’s double-header: The main character in The Forty Year Old Virgin’s name is: Andy. Karma, Baby.

Artwork

So I’m browsing one of our Church’s websites, and I find some artwork from kids at Church. Lo and Behold, Brandon has 2 pictures up!

You can view the entire Gallery on the Kid Quest website. Some other kids that we know well (Connor, Seth, & Tyler, to name a few) have pictures up as well.

I’d like to just point out that Comment #639 was entered by my lovely wife, Amanda.

“Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown!”

A Charlie Brown Christmas Quiz - Christmas offically kicks off when I see this on TV. Just call me Rerun - I got 100%. :)

2005 In Review

Saw this on somebody else’s blog… It seemed like a cool idea.

The Instructions: Go to your blog and find the first entry for each month of 2005. Post the first relevant sentence of it in your journal, and that’s your “Year In Review”.

January: Thanks to some last-minute hustle, and the generosity of my wife, it has turned into a wonderful new year, with a new XM Roady2!

February: I spent Monday night, Tuesday, and part of today in Atlanta.

March: I’m trying to run whenever I can. I’m registered for a 5K now.

April: We finally had Brandon’s first T-Ball practice of the year tonight.

May: I took the fellas to the McWane center on Saturday.

June: Sometimes working late has its advantages.

July: For those of you in Alabama, WTTO 21 will be airing Hunter Street’s 4th-of-July program on Monday night (7/4) at 10pm.

August: Amanda and I spent the weekend painting the kitchen, while my parents graciously kept the boys.

September: Tonight, on the way to Brandon’s soccer practice, we were discussing Brandon’s week at school.

October: I went through and organized the Flickr photos:

November: When I get home later tonight, I’ll try to post some pictures of the pumpkins that our family carved, and of the boys in their costumes.

December: We’re going to be quite busy over the next few days, with the move.

Rafting Trip From Hell

The year was 2000. I went on a rafting trip with my Brother and guys from my Sunday School class at church.

It was the worst rafting trip that I have ever been on. I spent more time in the water than I did in the boat. Our guide was such a mouth-breathing idiot that if I’d had a gun on me, I would have hijacked the raft and made everyone walk back.

The bigger story is that my friend Kevin took a roll of pictures on the trip, and gave me a CD to post the pictures online. To make a long story short, the CD got lost. Kevin continues to rib me about it today.

Well, no more. During the move, I found the blasted CD and am now reliving the trip in my dreams at night. I present, on Flickr, The Rafting Trip from Hell.

Fini!

Last night, we handed over the garage door openers and keys to our old house. We are now 100% moved into our new house, even though most things are going to be in boxes for a while.

Thanks to my Mom and Dad who came up to help us with the last things on Saturday, and to Tim for helping us unload everything into the basement.

Action Hero…

You scored as William Wallace. The great Scottish warrior William Wallace led his people against their English oppressors in a campaign that won independence for Scotland and immortalized him in the hearts of his countrymen. With his warrior’s heart, tactician’s mind, and poet’s soul, Wallace was a brilliant leader. He just wanted to live a simple life on his farm, but he gave it up to help his country in its time of need.
