Holy Cow! My Pastor, Buddy Gray, was just being interviewed by Albert Mohler on XM radio!
Update: I missed most of the interview today, and just found the show available online. It turns out that the topic was God in the Hands of Modern Theologians. You can listen to the program at AlbertMohler.com.

I love TiVo. I love for my feet not to be cold.
But I don’t love them enough to shell out $25 for these slippers:

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
And if that wasn’t enough 80s flashback for you, you can find a remix of Falco’s Rock Me, Amadeus here.

Of all the old TV Shows available on DVD these days, The Six Million Dollar Man is not one of them.
I’d buy that box set in a heartbeat.

Just a quick note to let you know that…
- Yes, we’re still alive.
- I spent a few days in Atlanta this week.
- Brandon’s missed 2 days of school this week, thanks to the croup and a fever that developed suddenly after his and Caleb’s Birthday Party on Sunday.
- I still haven’t posted any new pictures to Flickr.
- I love Bologna Cups.

Every year, our Church follows a different theme. Last year was our year of Magnification. To celebrate that, we had a special emphasis on studying who God is, and different avenues of worshipping Him. We had more special worship events than usual, including a symphony that was wirtten .
This year is our year to focus on Maturity. One of the things we’re doing this year is to read through the New Testament together, as a Church. However, before we start that, we’re focusing on how to really study the Bible. My friend, Tim Davis, has put together a devotional/journal that we’re working through together, focusing on those things.
I just found out that it’s available online, and wanted to share it with you. I’m hoping that we’ll be putting the other devotionals online as well.

For everyone who complains (and rightly so!) about the complexity of the IRS and their tax code, I think that I have found their equal: the FCC.
A few days ago, I went to try and file a change of address form for my Amateur Radio Operator license. I was unable to login successfully, and asked for a change of password. Now, most web sites perform this online. But not the FCC. Their password change procedure for a FRN sends an email, and an administrator looks into it.
The next day, I got an email stating that my request was denied, for the following reason: Register PSQ. Apparently, I am unable to reset my password because I do not have a Personal Security Question. Yet, I cannot login because I have forgotten my password.
I gave up on that. Today I downloaded the form to register a change of address. It is - and I am not kidding - 26 pages. All this to change the Address and City that I live in.

A few months back, Wes blogged about a novel way of cleaning out his ears. I thought it was one the most creative (and possibly disgusting) things that I’d ever seen.
Buddy, you’ve got nothing on this guy.

18 Tricks to Teach Your Body
My favorite:
#16: Impress Your Friends
Next time you’re at a party, try this trick: Have a person hold one arm straight out to the side, palm down, and instruct him to maintain this position. Then place two fingers on his wrist and push down. He’ll resist. Now have him put one foot on a surface that’s a half inch higher (a few magazines) and repeat. This time his arm will cave like the French. By misaligning his hips, you’ve offset his spine, says Rachel Cosgrove, C.S.C.S., co-owner of Results Fitness, in Santa Clarita, California. Your brain senses that the spine is vulnerable, so it shuts down the body’s ability to resist.
A brief experiment confirms that yes, this really works.
