Blog-Lite

Well, if you think the amount of material on clanMcGraw.com has been lite lately, brace yourself for the next 7 days - we’ll be on vacation in the mountains. I *do* have a new blackberry that I may try and do some blogging from, but it *is* called vacation for a reason…

Berry Blog

This is a test entry from a Blackberry.

So far, I’m not overly impressed.

Do you recognize this man?? - Why, it’s Larry the Cable Guy!!

(Definitely not G-Rated!)

Daniel & Tina

Our Jungle Life - I just learned this morning that some friends of ours from Atlanta, Daniel & Tina Gallant, have a blog that details their work in Irian Jaya. If you have a minute, check it out, and remember to pray for their ministry in the jungle.

Rain, Rain

The rain gauge appears to be working again. I jiggled the cables, and gave it a little test run. I think, however, that it’s time to encase all of the excess cabling into a chipmunk-proof box.

In other news, Caleb’s been sick since Friday. He started running a pretty high fever. Because the high fever could have been a symptom of infection from his stitches, Amanda took him to the Doctor last Friday. He thought that Caleb was dealing with the ‘fever virus’ that’s been going around. He drew some bloodwork, and everything appeared normal.

Today, Caleb’s still sick. His fever touched 104 today, so Amanda took him back. The Dr. still hasn’t found anything wrong, despite a chest x-ray, urine test, and another blood test. He sent Caleb home with a general antibiotic. At supper tonight, Caleb refused to eat. Later on, he threw up. Needless to say, we’ve got a sick little man on our hands. Please pray for him to recover from whatever’s got him down.

Weather

Apparently the rain gauge on the weather station is not working. I hope a chipmunk hasn’t gnawed through the cable…

Useless Factoid

The pull-tab of a Diet Coke is different if it’s bottled in Texas.

Update:

Can you tell which pull-tab is from Texas?

Pull-Tab comparison

It’s weird. The first time that I opened a can in Texas, I knew that something felt funny. I looked down, and noticed that the TX tabs have a square end, as opposed to a round end.

I drink too much Diet Coke.

Sewn Up

We had an exciting Saturday afternoon.

Caleb and Brandon were playing on the slip-n-slide. Caleb came running in to tell me something. His wet feet met the smooth concrete, and then his chin met the pavement. 15 minutes and a good bit of blood later, we were off to Children’s Hospital.

3 Stitches

2 hours and 3 stitches later, we were home. Caleb was such a trooper.
