Environmentally Un-Friendly?
Who, me? After that last post?
Well, lest you think that I am a complete earth-trashing heathen, I invite you to read Birmingham Commuters Find Ways to Save Gas, in which I (and co-worker Jodey) are interviewed about how we’re carpooling to save money.

Cool, so you commute to save the environment? Rock on!
I always wanted to know an infotech guy. Cool.
So had Amanda and the kids heard about Disney before the article?
How’d you get hooked up with al.com?

Drifters, save gas, earning $2 each for every day we carpool… same difference.
Wes – We got a call from CommuteSmart, which is the service that we signed up with (and is sponsoring the $2/trip throughout the summer). They had been approached by the Birmingham News about a story, and selected Jodey and I as potential interviewees. A guy from the Birmingham News called us separately, and interviewed us over the phone. We were told that we would probably have a photographer come out and take our picture for the article. That never occurred, so instead of plopping down money for a newspaper, I just looked it up online. Even *that* sounds environmentally friendly, doesn’t it?

That’s great. I bet having someone to talk to helps make the drive feel shorter, too.

So – Ed and I could sign up for our carpooling and get $2 per trip?
