Caleb’s Baptism

Friday, November 14th, 2008

You are cordially invited to join us on Sunday, November 23rd, at Hunter Street Baptist Church as we gather to rejoice in Caleb’s public proclamation of his faith in Jesus Christ.

Caleb will be baptized in the 9:30am service. You’re invited to help us celebrate. I don’t have any details on what we’ll do afterwards, but lunch is on clanMcGraw.

Noah Earley

Thursday, November 6th, 2008

Noah is a 7 year old boy at our Church. He was born with Downs Syndrome. He is one of the happiest, loving children that I have ever met.

In October, Noah was diagnosed with leukemia – Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) – to be exact. We’ve been praying for his recovery, and I ask you to do the same.

This morning, I got an email from a friend (Thanks, Jaime!!) that his parents have set up a Caring Bridge website for him. If you have a minute, I would ask that you take the time to visit it, and them a note to let them know you’re thinking about them and praying for them. I’ve also added the link to the left hand side of the page.

Hang in there, Noah! We’re praying for you!

Grafted In At The Branch

My co-worker, friend, Sun storage miracle worker, and favorite pastor-who’s not-my-own-pastor Jodey, pastors the Camp Branch Baptist Church in Bibb County, Alabama. Camp Branch has its own blog: GraftedInAtTheBranch.org

If you get a few minutes, check them out!

HSBC – Online!

Sunday, March 9th, 2008

While I’m sure that I’m not the first person to blog about this… But Our Church has started posting video of our worship services online. As of right now, there are archives back to September 30, 2007.

If you have a few minutes, check it out!

Update: Okay, so I was out of town on 11/11/2007, and that happened to be the day that Caleb was presented with his first-grade Bible. I checked the video and, unfortunately, that part of the service was left out. But I thought that I’d watch it while baby-sitting a database copy. And then I noticed, about 18 minutes into it, where I see a certain friend of mine snuggle up to her husband.

Note to self: Sit behind the cameras from now on. :)
